Spirit Funeral Policy

At Spirit, we accompany one another in life and in death. Funerals and memorial services are a sacred expression of our commitment to mutual care and community. In keeping with our values of hospitality, inclusion, prayer/ritual and social justice, there are no charges to the families of community members for funeral expenses. 

At this time, the Spirit Community is unable to host a funeral or memorial service for someone who is not part of the Spirit community. We do not have volunteer committees established to support families with the logistics. All are welcome to reserve space at New Branches, hire celebrants to support in planning and facilitation, arrange for catering, etc.
